Changing the Environment Set Name

An environment set is a collection of related environments, such as development, testing, and production environments, for a single SBM system. Each environment set should have a unique name to ease deployment and promotion activities, and all environments within an environment set should use the same environment set name. For example, the Global Process App and any process app containing the Global Application typically should be deployed only to environments in the same environment set. Unique environment set names will help ensure the correct Global Process App is deployed to the correct environment set.

When you create a new database, you are prompted to provide an environment set name. You can change that name as needed.

Note: By default, the datasource name is used as the environment set name. For multiple environment systems, change the environment set name in each database so that all match identically.

To change the environment set name:

From the Options menu, select Settings or click the Settings icon on the toolbar. The Settings – Server tab opens.
In the Environment Set box, type the name for the environment set.
Click OK.
