Preparing to Import Data

The key to achieving a successful import lies in taking the time to prepare source data for importing. For example, you may need to manipulate data to match values in SBM, and for generic database imports, you may need to build additional columns in the import file to support SBM relationships and processes.
Importing data into your SBM database requires an intimate knowledge of the data you are importing. For best results, copy your production database and test your import on the copy before importing data into your production database.
