Actions Tab of the Form Property Editor

You use the Actions tab of the form Property Editor to create action expressions that drive dynamic behavior in a custom form. See Using Form Actions and Working With Form Actions for more information.

Control Description
Action The name of the action expression.
Description An area for an optional description of the action expression.
Enabled The Enabled check box is selected by default if the expression defined for the action is valid. If you do not want the action to be used right away, clear this check box.

If the expression is invalid, the action is crossed out and the check box is cleared.

New Opens the Form Logic dialog box, where you can define a new action expression.
Edit Opens the Form Logic dialog box, where you can edit the selected action expression.
Delete Deletes the selected action expression.
Move up, Move down Changes the order in which the dynamic behavior is performed.
Note: If there is a conflicting action, such as two actions that change the background text color with different colors, then the action that was executed last takes effect.
Show action summaries Displays textual summaries of the actions.
