Mailbox Field Mapping

Use the Mailbox Mapping page to map fields in incoming e-mail messages to fields in your project.

Note: The settings on this page apply only to user e-mail submissions. For information regarding XML e-mail submissions, refer to Using XML E-mail Submission.

The following options are available on the Mailbox Mapping page:

Mapping From
Lists header fields from the e-mail message. Map compatible fields in this list to the Mail Header Name column in the Mapping To list.
Mapping To
Lists the fields in the project that are available for mapping.

Tip: For best results, verify that no fields in e-mail submit transition are set as required. Required fields must be mapped or e-mail submissions will fail. Auto fields, such as Submit Date, do not need to be mapped because these fields are automatically populated by the system.
