Working with Favorites Folders

You can create personal favorites folders to which you can add links to frequently used forms, items, reports, and Web pages. You can also move, rename, and delete personal favorites folders.

Except for the Quick Links folder, you can move and rename system favorites folders, as well as create folders beneath system favorites folders. You cannot delete any system favorites folders.

To add, rename, move, or delete a favorites folder:

  1. Open the Favorites view using one of the following methods:
    • From the Task page, click the Show My Favorites link.

    • From the navigation pane, click the Favorites link.

  2. Select the favorites folder that you want to rename, move, or delete. If you are adding a folder, select the favorites folder that you want to be the parent folder. To create a folder at the root of the Favorites view, click the Select Top Folder icon: image.
  3. Do one of the following:
    Task Steps
    Add a favorites folder
    1. Click the Add New Folder icon: image. The Enter Folder Name prompt opens.
    2. Type a name for your folder in the box, and then click OK.
    Delete a personal favorites folder
    1. Click the Delete icon: image.
    2. If the folder contains links, you are prompted to confirm that you want to delete the folder and its contents. Click OK to continue.
      Note: To delete a parent folder, you must first delete its subfolders.
    Rename a favorites folder
    1. Click the Rename Folder icon: image. The Enter Folder Name prompt opens.
    2. Type the new name for the folder, and then click OK.
    Move a favorites folder
    1. Click the Cut Folder icon: image. A image icon appears next to the folder.
    2. To move the folder to the root of the Favorites view, click the Select Top Folder icon: image and then click the Paste Folder icon: image. To move the folder under another folder, select the parent folder, and then click the Paste Folder icon.
