Exporting Strings to XML

The Export XML wizard enables you to export root SBM User Workspace strings to an XML file, as well as any strings associated with records in the Languages auxiliary table. You can use the exported XML file to translate strings into multiple languages.

To export strings to XML:

  1. Connect to the database from which you want to export strings.
  2. In SBM System Administrator, select Export from the Tools menu. The Export Welcome dialog box opens.
  3. Click Next.
  4. The Export Options dialog box opens. Click Next to continue.
  5. The Export Languages dialog box opens. If you have added records to the Languages table, they are listed here. Select the language you want to add to the root strings in the exported XML file, and then click Next.
  6. The Export Output Location dialog box opens. Specify a name and location for the exported XML file, or click Browse to navigate to the location.
  7. Click Next.
  8. The Finish Export dialog box opens. Click Finish to export strings to XML.
