Formatting Filled Required Field Appearance

HTML Formatting for Filled Required Fields settings enable you to customize the appearance of the logical field name for required fields that already have a filled value on quick and custom forms.

By default, filled required fields appear in green, bold, italic text.

Plain text or HTML tags can be used. The formatting is applied to all non-system required fields and required system fields that are selected in the Apply to Required System Fields When Filled drop-down list.

To format the display of required fields on forms:

From the Options menu, select Settings or click the Settings icon on the toolbar.
Select the HTML tab.
In the Pre Required Filled Field Name box, type the text you want to appear before the logical field name of required fields that have filled values. If using HTML tags, type the start tag in this text box. If an HTML tag is entered in this box, an end tag must be entered in the Post Required Filled HTML text box.
In the Post Required Filled Field Name box, type the text you want to appear after the logical field name of required fields that have filled values. If using HTML tags, type the end tag in this text box.
From the Apply to Required System Fields When Filled list, select system fields for which the Pre Required Filled Field Name and Post Required Filled Field Name formatting should apply.
Click OK.
