Finding Reports

You can use the Find a report page to search for all reports that you have privileges to run, modify, or delete in the selected application. You can also use this page to search for auxiliary table reports that you can run, modify, or delete. You can search by report title, author, and project.

Note: About auxiliary table reports: Search results include only reports for global auxiliary tables and auxiliary tables associated with the active application.

To find existing reports:

  1. In the Search by Title box, type keywords contained in the report title. Keywords are single words, separated by a space. Use double quotes (") to search for phrases.
  2. For report title searches, select one of the following options:
    • Match All – Select this option to search for a match to all the keywords that you typed. This is also referred to as an "and" search, meaning that if you type in two keywords, items containing both those keywords are returned.

    • Match Any – Select this option to search for a match on any of the keywords that you typed. This is also referred to as an "or" search, meaning that if you type in two keywords, items containing at least one of those keywords is returned.

Note: After you execute a search, the keyword, "match any," and "match all" search criteria are saved and available when you return to the Find a report page.
  3. In the Search by Author box, enter the name of the process app user who created the report that you are looking for. Note the following:
    • You can type the full name or a few letters of any part of the user's name.

    • You can use asterisks as wildcard characters. An asterisk matches zero or more consecutive characters.

    • Select Current User to search for reports that you created.

  4. Click the search icon. Results appear in a list, allowing you to select a value for the field. You can search repeatedly to select multiple authors as needed.
  5. By default, all projects to which you have privileges are searched. To narrow your search, select one from the Report Project list. This list contains a full list of projects to which you have view privileges, or a list of preferred projects. If you are viewing your preferred projects list, the projects are listed alphabetically.
  6. Click Search. A list of reports that meet your search criteria is returned. For details on working with report search results, refer to Report Search Results.
