Field attributes are set in SBM Composer. You can view these attributes in the SBM System Administrator.
|Required||Requires users to set a value for the field. Required fields by default appear in red, italic text. Required custom fields that contain a value previously set through the Submit, Update, or Transition forms appear in green, italic text.|
|Allow Mass Update||This setting makes the field available when users mass update items in the project or auxiliary table. Mass updates allow users to simultaneously transition, update, or delete multiple primary items and to simultaneously update or delete multiple auxiliary items.|
|Read Only||Sets the field so that it can be viewed but not edited by users.|
|Required Appended Text||For Text fields that are set as Journal fields, this setting requires users to append text to the field. When you set this option for a field in the Default Fields list, users are required to append text for every transition. When you set this option for a transition field, users are required to append text for that particular transition.|
|Append Only||For Text fields that are set as Journal fields, this setting allows users to append text to existing Journal entries. If you clear this check box, users can modify data in existing entries. If you set this attribute for a field in the Default Fields list, it applies to all transitions; if you set it for a field in a transition, it applies only to that transition.|
