Creating the EMQA User

Both the default user name and password for the EMQA user are specified in the event_dispatch.properties file as emqa. Therefore, you need to create the "emqa" user in SBM Application Administrator with the password emqa.

To create the EMQA user:

  1. Open SBM Application Administrator.
  2. Click the Users tab, and then click Add.
  3. In the Login ID field, enter emqa.
  4. In the Password and Re-enter Password fields, enter emqa.
  5. Under Product Access, select API/Script and then click Save.
    Note: This user will not have access to end-user interfces, such as Serena Work Center or the SBM User Workspace.
  6. Click the Privileges tab.
  7. Click the System tab, select all privileges, and then click Save.
  8. Click the Folder tab, select Public Folders, select all privileges, and then click Save.
  9. Click the Item tab, be sure that Base Project is selected, select all privileges, and then click Save.
  10. Repeat step 9 for the Field, Attach, Note, and Report tabs.
    Note: It is not necessary to set permissions on the Table tab, unless the "emqa" user requires privileges for any listed auxiliary tables.
