Where to Find Help

You can find help for SSM in the following locations:

  • Documentation Center

    Visit the Documentation Center to find help systems, PDFs, release notes, and videos. The Documentation Center is a public portal that enables you to search, browse, or download the latest SSM documentation or view older versions in the extensive documentation archive.

  • Solution-Based Help

    Every solution that is powered by SBM includes end-user help that you can customize to suit your needs. End-user help is added to SSM design elements in SBM Composer, deployed as part of the solution, and shown to users as they work with items at runtime.

    For details, refer to the SBM Composer Guide or SBM Composer online help.

  • Knowledgebase

    Visit the extensive, searchable knowledgebase to find troubleshooting information, tips, and tricks. You can search for terms and phrases in the SSM documentation and the KB will return PDFs with matching results. Note that you must have a registered user account to view items in the KB. Register for a free account if you do not already have one.

  • The Community

    Visit the Community website to find helpful blog posts and videos.

    Check out the User Forums to interact with other users and learn more about using Serena products. You can view and search for information, but you must create and log in to a forum account to respond to articles and interact with other users.

  • For upgrades from earlier versions of SSM, refer to the Upgrade Guide for help.
  • Because SSM is an SBM solution, in addition to included reports, users can create and run reports in SBM on SSM data. The SBM Reporting Guide is your one-stop-shop for help with reports.
  • The Documentation Center also hosts the Orchestrated Ops (SOO) documentation archive. Visit this archive for documentation on legacy versions of SSM (formerly part of Orchestrated Ops).
