Overview

The SSM install requires that you have a complete and functional SBM installation first. You must follow the steps in the SBM Installation and Configuration Guide to install SBM before you install SSM.

The SSM install process depends on a variety of factors, such as the location of the SBM components that you have installed. For example, you must install all of the SBM components in order to have a working SBM installation; however, you could install two components, such as SBM Application Engine and Application Repository, on different servers. Therefore, you must run the SSM installer on both servers (in addition to the server that hosts SBM Common Services).
