About the Custom Form Extensions

Release Control process apps include custom form extensions. These form extensions are bundles of form actions and widgets that enable you to customize your forms. The Release Control form extensions include the formatting actions for solution forms, widgets to access release control data, and a widget for displaying reports in an action list format.

These custom form extensions are included in the process apps in the default installation of Release Control and are pre-configured to work with the default implementation. You can add these form extensions to new custom forms that you create to have access to the underlying Release Control data or to apply the desired formatting. See the documentation within the extension for details on how to implement it within your custom form.

The custom form extensions are as follows:

• Request Collection Widget form extension

  This extension includes the request collection widget and form action conditions, which are used to list request information in the corresponding tab in deployable release trains and release packages. See Request Collection Extension.

• Task and Unit Collection Widgets form extension

  This extension includes the deployment unit widget, the execution deployment unit widget, and the task collection widget, which are used to list deployment unit and deployment task information in the corresponding tabs in deployable release trains and release packages. • SBM Solutions Actions List form extension

  This extension has the action list widget, which is used for quick views of parent and child package information in deployable release trains and release packages. See SBM Solutions Actions List Extension.
