Custom Contextual Help

Every Serena-provided solution that is powered by SBM includes end-user help that organizations can customize to match their implementations of Release Control. End-user help is added to solution design elements in SBM Composer, deployed as part of the solution, and shown to users as they work with items at runtime. The default implementation includes a rich set of end-user help to help you get started with the solution. Access this context-sensitive help as follows:

• Fields in forms that have help text are underlined with a dotted line. When you move your mouse over the field, the help text appears.
• As you are navigating through Release Control, you can click the More button and select one of the following:
  • Get help for this Application: This shows the workflow image with any comments included there by the process app designer.
  • Get help for this Form: This shows help text that was entered by the process app designer for each form element, including that for states and transitions and the fields in each section of the form.
