Associating Change Packages with Deployment Units

You can associate ChangeMan ZMF change packages with deployment units.

To add a ChangeMan ZMF change package, you use the ChangeMan ZMF Items configuration. Typically, to use the ChangeMan ZMF ChangeMan ZMF Items configuration, do the following:

  1. In a deployable release train or release package, select the Deployment Units tab.
  2. Click Edit Deployment Units.
  3. Click the + icon to add a task.
  4. Select a ChangeMan ZMF Items configuration.

When you add or edit a deployment unit, you enter search criteria and then click Find Items to find and select the ChangeMan ZMF change packages to associate with the deployment unit.

The fields that are displayed are described in the following table.

Package Name Filters

Required filter used to limit the scope of the change package search. You can use multiple filters separated by a semicolon.

Title Filter A descriptive name of the deployment unit item These change packages are part of this release
Status Filters

Optional filter used to limit the scope of the change package search.

Values are specified in Deployment Unit - Status Filters list of the configuration and appear here for selection.

Type Filters

Optional change package type and time span filter used to limit the scope of the change package search.

Values are specified in Deployment Unit - Type Filters list of the configuration and appear here for selection.

Department Filter Optional filter to limit the scope of the change package search.

Enter one or more department names, each separated by a comma.

If you select 'Read only' for this filter, users cannot change its value. However, administrators can set Configuration Overrides.

Optional package level filter used to limit the scope of the change package search.

Values are specified in Deployment Unit - Level Filters list of the configuration and appear here for selection.
