Creating Baselines

While adding a baseline in the deployment unit collection or as part of a deployment task, if the baseline you want does not yet exist, you can create one.

To create a baseline, use one of the following.

• While creating or editing a deployment task:
  1. Beside the Baseline Specification field, click the link icon.
  2. Under Use available configurations, select a Baseline Item configuration.
  3. Select Create Item.
  4. Select one of the create actions:
     • Create Design Part Baseline
     • Create Revised Baseline
     • Create Project Baseline
  5. Fill out the resulting fields.
• While adding a baseline as a deployment unit:
  1. Select Create Item.
  2. Select one of the create actions:
     • Create Design Part Baseline
     • Create Revised Baseline
     • Create Project Baseline
  3. Fill out the resulting fields.
