Dimensions CM Base Configuration Details

Add a base configuration to define shared properties for a set of Dimensions CM item and action configurations.

Field Descriptions

The field descriptions are included in the UI. While creating or editing a configuration, point to a field name to view its description.

The base configuration fields are described in the following table.

Use Single Sign-On (SSO)

Select this to enable the provider service to log in to the Dimensions CM system using the authentication token of the user.
Note: If you are logging into a separate system that doesn't share the same SSO server, you will receive the following message "An error occurred while getting collection details" when trying to find something on the other system.

If you select this, ensure that SSO is enabled for Dimensions CM as documented in the Dimensions CM System Administration Guide.

User Name Dimensions CM user name; ignored if Use Single Sign-On (SSO) is selected
Password Dimensions CM password; ignored if Use Single Sign-On (SSO) is selected
Product Filter A comma-separated list of Dimensions CM product names by which to filter
Project Filter A comma-separated list of Dimensions CM project names by which to filter
Request Status Filters A comma-separated list of Dimensions CM request statuses by which to filter RAISED,IN QA,IN PROGRESS,UNDER WORK,IN TEST
Server Time Zone Name This field is used to set the time zone used in the display of date/time fields in Release Control. If the time zone of the Release Control server is different than that of the Dimensions CM server, enter the time zone of the Dimensions CM server in this field. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones or similar sites for information on Java time zone entries.

If this field is blank, the time zone of the Release Control server is used to calculate the time.

SOAP Client Timeout The number of seconds the SOAP client will wait for data response from the Dimensions CM server. The default timeout is 60 seconds. If you have long-running actions, you should enter a larger value. 300
