ServiceNow Plugin Configuration Overview

Through the ServiceNow plugin, Release Control deployment units are associated with ServiceNow items, such as requests, and Release Control tasks execute ServiceNow actions, such as check status and update requests.

Before you can use the ServiceNow plugin, an administrator must do the following:

• Add the plugin. See Preparing the Plugins.
• Add a base configuration.
• Add one or more item or action configurations of the plugin.
• Configure custom column fields to display appropriate data for ServiceNow requests. See Displaying ServiceNow Fields in Collection Columns.
