Promote Package copies package components from staging libraries into test libraries. As a package is promoted from one testing level to the next, package components are removed from libraries in the prior level and copied from staging libraries into test libraries for the next level.
Only FULL type is available.
To configure a promote change package action in a deployment task:
In the UI, point to each field for additional information.
Some of the fields are described in the following table.

Click the link icon to select a change package. From here, you can:

Environment | Select each environment in which you want to execute the task. These are the environments configured in the deployment path. For example, Dev, Test, and Prod. | <select Dev> |
Promotion Site | For each selected environment, select a site. | <select siteName> |
Promotion Environment | For each selected environment, select the promotion level for the selected site. This field requires the site to be selected in the preceding field. | <select promotion environment> |

For each selected environment, select the schedule option and fill out the additional fields that open based on your selection. Options include the following:

Promotion and demotion rules that may be set for your change packages. For more information on rules, see the ChangeMan ZMF documentation.
These rules regulate the movement of components from Promotion libraries to staging (for editing) and back again.
Rules 1 thru 4 restrict promotion to Frozen (status FRZ) packages only:
