Creating Items in SBM Requests

While adding a request, if the SBM item you want does not yet exist, you can create one.

To create an SBM item while adding or editing a Release Control request:

1. In a deployable release train or release package, select the Requests tab.
2. Click Edit Requests.
3. Click the + icon to add a request.
4. Select an SBM item configuration.
5. Select Create item.
6. Fill out the resulting fields.

The available fields depend on the process app into which you are submitting an item. The RLC - Sample Requests and IDM process apps are provided with Release Control, but you can submit into any process app that you have made available in your plugin configuration. The field types that are supported for SBM item creation are as follows:

• Binary/Trinary
• Date/Time
• Multi-Group
• Multi-Relational
• Multi-Selection
• Multi-User
• Numeric
• Single Relational
• Single Selection
• Text
• User
