Creating ALM Octane Work Items

If an ALM Octane work item that you want to associate with a Release Control request does not exist, you can create it and add it to the request.

To create a new Octane work item:

1. In a deployable release train or release package, select the Requests tab.
2. Click Edit Requests.
3. Click the + icon to add a request task.
4. Select Octane work item.
5. Select Create item.
6. Select an Entity Type. For each type different lists are displayed. Optionally select an entry from each list.
7. Give the new work item a name.
8. Click Create and Add.
