Creating Items in SBM Deployment Tasks

While adding a deployment or failure task, if the item you want does not yet exist, you can create one. This includes not only SBM items, but also items for any plugin that supports object creation.

This enables you to associate virtually any type of object with the SBM item.

To create an SBM item while adding or editing a Release Control task:

1. In a deployable release train or release package, select the Deployment Tasks tab.
2. Click Edit Deployment Tasks.
3. Click the + icon to add a task.
4. Select an SBM action configuration.
5. Beside the Items field, click the link icon.
6. Click one of the configurations in Use Available Configurations.
7. In the Add <item> from <plugin> Configuration form, select Create item.
8. Fill out the resulting fields.

The available fields depend on the plugin configuration for the item you are creating.
