Deployment Automation Plugin Configuration Overview

Through the Deployment Automation plugin, Release Control deployment units are associated with Deployment Automation items, such as component versions and snapshots, and Release Control tasks execute Deployment Automation actions, such as running application processes.

Before you can use the Deployment Automation plugin, administrators must do the following:

• Prepare the plugin for use. At minimum, the example configurations must be updated with valid connection information. See Preparing the Plugins.
• Configure custom column fields to display appropriate data. See Custom Column Fields for Deployment Automation.
