Creating Change Packages

While adding a change package in the deployment unit collection or as part of a deployment task, if the change package you want does not yet exist, you can create one.

You can create a change package while creating or editing a deployment task and while adding a change package as a deployment unit.

• While creating or editing a deployment task:
  1. Beside the Package Name field, click the link icon.
  2. Under Use available configurations, select the plugin type name, such as ChangeMan ZMF Change Packages from Serverxyz.
  3. Select the Create Item option.
  4. Select one of the create actions:
     • Create Package Using Copy Forward Method
     • Create Package Using Short Method
     • Create Package Using Long Method
  5. Fill out the resulting fields.
• While adding a change package as a deployment unit:
  1. Select the Create Item option.
  2. Select one of the create actions:
     • Create Package Using Copy Forward Method
     • Create Package Using Short Method
     • Create Package Using Long Method
  3. Fill out the resulting fields.
