The
Deployment Automation
plugin provides functionality for
Deployment Automation
deployment units and executions, where deployment units are component versions
and snapshots.
Before you can use the
Deployment Automation
plugin, administrators must do the following:
- Install and add the plugin. See
Preparing the Plugins.
- Add one or more configurations of the plugin. See
Adding Plugin Configurations
and the configuration details topic for the plugin you plan to use.
- Configure custom column fields to display appropriate data for
Deployment Automation
deployment units.
The following default configurations of the
Deployment Automation
plugin are included in
Release Control:
- The Component Version Action configuration is used to select a
custom component process or application process when creating deployment tasks
or task templates.
- The Component Version Items configuration
is used when adding deployment units and it allows you to link
component versions to your release package.
- The Snapshot Action configuration is used to select an
application process and snapshot when creating deployment tasks or task
templates.
- The Snapshot Items configuration
is used when adding deployment units and it allows you to link
snapshots to your release package.
