What's New
Micro Focus Pulse
- For details about creating your own Pulse extension plug-ins, see the open source Pulse Java SDK on GitHub.
- You can nominate a chain, or set of chains, that must succeed before a pull request can be merged. For example, assume you have a chain that runs builds and you only want to allow the content of a pull request to be merged into its parent stream when a build succeeds:
- Open the chain that will run on the pull request.
- Click Edit and select the Configuration tab.
- From the When to Run list select When a pull request is published.
- Select the option Required before merging.
- Click Save.
- Build results for existing chains may produce more findings than previously.
- Search usability has been improved.
- Review comments can be deleted.
- Review comments made in the context of a different review are now identified as such and can be hidden.
- Users can be registered manually, for example, they can be made administrators or locked out before their first login.
- Review rule have changed: reviews are published automatically less frequently, for example, adding a reviewer does not now publish a review.
Upgrading
To upgrade the Pulse .war file:
- Download the updated pulse.war file.
- Stop Tomcat.
- Backup pulse.war in the Tomcat webapps/pulse folder to a different folder (not in webapps).
- Copy the new pulse.war to /webapps.
- Run Tomcat once to expand the new pulse.war into a folder.
- If you previously customized WEB-INF/web.xml in pulse.war, copy it from the backup into webapps/pulse/WEB-INF/ and restart Tomcat.
Micro Focus recommends using the Pulse server to upgrade agents. Use the new Pulse Agent installer for new agent machines.
