Creating Topic Streams from Streams

You can create a new topic stream from an existing stream or project. The topic stream will be a child of the parent stream.

1. Desktop client

a    Open the stream on which you want to base the new topic stream.

b    On the toolbar click New and select Topic Stream.

Web client

a    Select one of these tabs: My Current Stream, Streams.

b    Click New Stream and select Topic Stream.

The New Topic Stream dialog box appears.

2. Enter a name for the new topic stream.

3. Select the target stream where work from the topic stream will be merged into. Default: the parent stream.

4. Select the request that will be used to merge the changes into the target stream.

5. (Desktop client only) Select an option for the work area when the stream is created:

• (Recommended) Rehome to the latest content of the parent stream in the repository.

• Rehome a specific folder to the content in the repository.

• Create a new, empty work area.

• Assign a work area later.

6. (Desktop client only) Click Next. Optionally select one or more users and groups who can access this topic stream.

7. Click Create.
