If you have installed the Windows Explorer Plug-in on your machine, there are additional menu options that appear when you select files and folders in the Explorer window, and some icons have additional decoration that show Dimensions-related conditions and status.
When you attempt to perform an operation that requires access to the Dimensions CM database, and you are not already logged in., you will be presented with a Log In window. The procedure for logging in is the same as for the desktop client. You can have your client configured for use with SSO (Single Sign-on) and optionally Smart Card authentication.
