Use this dialog box to create a new design part based on an existing design part. The new design part has the same logical structure as the source design part.
Use the General tab to identify the design part variant.

The variant only changes the variant portion of the part specification: productID:partID.variant;pcs The product ID, the part ID, and the PCS are inherited from the source design part. The maximum length is 128 characters. |

Shows the source variant. |

Type a brief description of the new design part. |
Required. The maximum length is 240 characters. |
