Set User Preferences Dialog Box

Use the Set User Preferences dialog box to customize various aspects of the behavior of the web client for your purposes.

The fields displayed depend on what you have selected from the Select an area to customize list. These are described in the corresponding topics:

Select an area to customize

Select another aspect of the web client whose behavior you want to customize.

 

Home view

Select the tab that you want to be initially displayed when you log in to the web client.

 

 

User Profile to use

Choose a profile from the list.

 

Select a

Select the type of report, Private or Public

  • Only applies if you have selected Reports for View above.

Enter a filter expression to filter the list of report names in the search.

  • Only applies if you have selected Reports for View above.

Search

Click this button to populate the Report list below

  • Only applies if you have selected Reports for View above.

Report

Select a report from the list

  • Only applies if you have selected Reports for View above.

Design part tree label

Select the format for the labels used in the Design Part tree.

  • Select ID if you want the IDs of design parts to be displayed.

  • Select Specification if you want the full specifications to be displayed.

  • Select Description if you want the descriptions to be displayed.

User display format

Select the format in which user names are displayed in the web client.

  • Select USERID if you want the only the ID of the user to be displayed.

  • Select User Full Name if you want only the name of the user to be displayed.

  • Select USERID (User Full Name) if you want the ID followed by the name in brackets to be displayed.

  • Select User Full Name (USERID) if you want the name followed by the ID in brackets to be displayed.

Paging Size

Enter the number of rows to be displayed in each page of an object table.

 

Relate new requests to current project

Select this option if you want any new requests that you create to be automatically related to the current project.

 

Publish as default preferences

Select this option if you want your preferences to be used as the default preferences for other users.

  • Only appears if you have the Publishing Preferences privilege.

  • If selected, these preferences will be the default for any user that has not set their own preferences

Restore defaults

Select this option if you want your General settings to be restored to the default values.
