New Stream Wizard

Use this wizard to create a new stream.

Use the General page (see below) to specify the name and type of the new stream.

Use the New Stream Wizard Based-on Page to specify what the stream is to be based on.

See Attributes Tab/Page for how to change the user-defined attributes.

Use the Summary page to check the details of the stream you are creating and confirm the creation.

General Page

Field	Description	Rules and Guidelines
Product	Select the product in which to create the new stream.	The default is the product ID of your current product.
Stream Name	Type a name for the new stream.	Required.
Unique branch name	Type a name for the branch to be used for new item revisions created in the stream.
Description	Type a description for the new stream.	Required.
Create a personal stream	Creates a personal stream. Personal streams are private development branches that enable you to: Isolate work from an existing stream When you are working with other developers on a stream, but are not ready to merge your changes, you can backup and isolate your work from the team by committing it to a personal stream in the repository. Create a new stream based on a work area You are working on changes in a work area but the changes cannot be delivered to the associated stream. For example, the stream may be locked or the feature has been dropped from the release. To preserve your work you can create a new personal stream based on the entire contents of the work area.	Only visible to the originator.
Open using work area	Select if you want the new stream to be opened when the wizard completes.	Select a work area.
Add the new stream to my favorites.	Adds the new stream to your list of Favorites.	Favorites are preserved across all clients (except the web client)
