Colors Tab

Use the Colors tab in the Configuration dialog box to customize the colors you see for additions, modifications, deletions, and conflicts.

You see the current colors and patterns in the largest display fields with the following text: Selected, Unselected, Resolved, and Unresolved.

Addition

To change the background color for additions, click the first color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

To change the text color, click the second color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

 

Padded

To change the color for padded lines, click the color box and select a color.

 

Deletion

To change a background color for deletions, click the first color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

To change the text color, click the second color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

 

Show Ancestor text in Derivative

Select this option to show the text of lines in the ancestor that have been deleted in a derivative.

This option is not set as default.

Change

To change a background color for changes (modified lines), click the first color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

To change the text color, click the second color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

 

Load Merge Tool Defaults

Click this button to restore the colors and patterns to the default settings.

 

No Change

To change the background color for unchanged lines, click the first color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

To change the text color, click the second color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

 

Highlighted

To change the background color for the currently highlighted (selected) line, click the first color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

To change the text color, click the second color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

 

Ancestor

To change the background color for a conflict in the Ancestor, click the first color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

To change the text color, click the second color box to the right of the option, and select a color.

 

Conflicting Lines - Unselected, Selected and Resolved

To change the background pattern for a conflict that has not yet been selected, select a pattern from the first list.

To change the background pattern for a conflict that has been selected, select a pattern from the second list.

To change the background pattern for a conflict that has been resolved, select a pattern from the third list.
