Open button

Select all or a subset of the requirement objects found and click the Open button to open them in the desktop client content pane.

NOTE  The results list contains the current requirements from each Dimensions RM container associated with the current working project/stream; therefore, if an individual requirement is current in more than one container it will be listed more than once.

The Open button is only present in the context where the Find Requirements dialog box is being used to find requirements that are to be opened. It will be absent where the dialog box is used in other context, for example, when finding requirements to relate to other objects.

The normal desktop client object selection criteria apply.

Known Issue

It is possible to select a specific requirement from different containers more than once in the Find Now results and open a requirement display. However, the resulting display will only contain each specific requirement once, regardless of the number of times it was selected in the results list.

The specific requirement that is actually displayed is the one selected last in the results list, and any Dimensions RM container data visible will relate to this selection only. To open a requirement from a specific container, it is preferable to use the Catalog tree in the My Current Project/Stream and navigate to the required container and requirements.

NOTE  This issue is specific to the use of the Find dialog to open Requirement views and does not affect other uses of the Find dialog when invoked in other contexts.
