Find Customer Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to search for customers, and to create, modify, and delete customer filters. You create filters by setting values in this dialog box and saving the set of values to reuse later.

Use the General tab to limit the search based on general customer information.

Use the Comments Tab to limit the search by searching for words in the comments stored with the customer.

Use the Find Now Tab to see the results of the search.

Filter Sets

Select a saved filter.

When you select a filter, the fields on the tabs are populated with the search criteria that you saved for that filter.

To clear all values, click the Reset button.

Save button

Click to save the filter that is displayed in the Filter Sets list.

This button is only enabled if you have made changes to filter values in the Find dialog box.

Create button

Click to create a new filter.

Type a name for the new filter. If you want to create a filter based on the values already set in the Find dialog box, select the Based Upon Current Set check box.

Remove button

Click to delete the filter that is displayed in the Filter Sets list.

 

Name

Type the customer name.

You can use wildcards in this field:

  • Use an underscore (_) to match exactly one character. For example, d_g matches dog or dig.

  • Use a percent sign (%) to match any number of characters. For example, d%g matches dog or drag or dreaming.

Location

Type the location of the customer.

You can use wildcards in this field.

Project

Type the project name.

You can use wildcards in this field.

Contact

Type a contact name.

You can use wildcards in this field.
