New/Edit Selection Criterion Dialog Box for an Item Baseline Template

The New Selection Criterion dialog box for a baseline template enables you to add a criterion to the list of selection criteria for item types to be included the baseline.

The Edit Selection Criterion dialog box enables you to change the details for a selected criterion.

Field	Description	Rules and Guidelines
Item Type Selection	The item type for which this criterion applies. Entering "*" signifies all item types, meaning that this criterion will apply as the default for item types where no specific criterion has been defined.	Choose an item type from the list. Enter "*" to include all item types. Required.
Associated Lifecycle	The name of the lifecycle that has been associated with the item type.	Display only. "<none defined>" means "*" has been entered as the item type field or the selected item type has no associated lifecycle.
Lifecycle State	The state(s) or build stage(s) for which the selection criterion applies. This may be either a specific normal lifecycle state or build stage, or one of the implicit values. For a list of the implicit states see About Item Baseline Template Selection Criteria.	Required. Choose a state from the list.
State Selector	The criteria to be used when a specific lifecycle state or build stage has been specified in the Lifecycle State field. For a description of these criteria, see About Item Baseline Template Selection Criteria.	Choose an option from the list. If you have selected a state for the Lifecycle State, you must select a Status Related option. If you have selected a build stage for the Lifecycle State, you must select a Stage Related option. If you have selected an implicit state (one beginning with "*") for the Lifecycle State, you must select <none>.
