New/Copy Lifecycle Dialog Box

The New Lifecycle dialog box enables you to create a new lifecycle that can be used by one or more types of item, change document, or baseline.

The Copy Lifecycle dialog box creates a new lifecycle and copies the states and transitions from the selected lifecycle.

Field	Description	Rules and Guidelines
Name	The name that identifies the lifecycle.	Up to 25 characters. Must be unique within the product. Required.
Based on (Only appears for Copy Lifecycle dialog box)	The lifecyle from which you are copying the details.	Display Only.
Description	A description for the lifecycle.	Up to 240 characters. Optional.
