If your organization uses the SBM Issue Defect Management (IDM) solution, you can work with IDM issues directly within your IDE. There are some steps you must take to get started working with IDM issues.

  1. Using the Dimensions Administration Console, your Dimensions Administrator must set SBM as the default IDM provider for your Dimensions base database, and establish the connection to the Business Manager server. See the Serena Dimensions Process Modeling User’s Guide, or the Administration Console online help.

  2. You must first add reports from SBM IDM to your report select list. You will then have access to the issues and defects in those reports.

  3. Then, choose specific requests to work on and add them to your working list. Requests in your working list are available to relate to files when you add files, check files out, and check files in.
