3.0 Known Issues
3.1 Metrics in SQL Server Data Source Do Not Display
When you connect a DVM package to a data source in SQL Server, the connection works and installs the files on disk, however the metrics do not display in Serena Dashboard.
To solve this issue:
- In the c:\ibi\apps directory, in the subdirectory for the package, locate the .ACX files and open them in a text editor.
- On each line, add ".dbo" between the table name and the database name. For example, if the database is named sample, the resulting lines (with .dbo. added) might look something like the following:
SEGNAME=USR_ALM_PROJECTS, TABLENAME=sample.dbo.USR_ALM_PROJECTS, CONNECTION=DVM_SBM_SQL, KEYS=1, $
SEGNAME=TS_USERS, TABLENAME=sample.dbo.TS_USERS, CONNECTION=DVM_SBM_SQL, KEYS=1, $
SEGNAME=TS_SELECTIONS, TABLENAME=sample.dbo.TS_SELECTIONS, CONNECTION=DVM_SBM_SQL, KEYS=1, $
SEGNAME=TS_STATES, TABLENAME=sample.dbo.TS_STATES, CONNECTION=DVM_SBM_SQL, KEYS=1, $
3.2 Project Iterations & Development Package Iterations Do Not Display Correctly
When you connect a DVM package to a data source in SQL Server, the Project Iterations metric and the Development Package Iterations metric drill-down do not display correctly.
To solve this issue:
- From the c:\ibi\apps directory, in the subdirectory for the package, locate the dvm_4_0_1_project_data_count_[SUFFIX].mas file and open it in a text editor.
- Change the text SEGSUF=SQLORA to SEGSUF=SQLMSS
For example, if you installed a dvm_4_0_1 package to a SQL Server instance where the database is named sample and gave the suffix DEV to the package, open all dvm_4_0_1_project_data_count_DEV.mas files from the c:\ibi\apps\dvm_4_0_1_DEV directory and change to the following line:
SEGMENT=USR_ALM_PROJECTS, SEGTYPE=S0, SEGSUF=SQLORA , PARENT=USR_DVM_BASELINE, CRJOINTYPE=INNER,
to
SEGMENT=USR_ALM_PROJECTS, SEGTYPE=S0, SEGSUF=SQLMSS , PARENT=USR_DVM_BASELINE, CRJOINTYPE=INNER,
