Complete these steps to create a new Dimensions CM project.
To create a new project:
Select View | Serena Explorer to open the Serena Explorer.
Right-click the root node in the Serena Explorer and select New Project. The New Project wizard appears.
Complete the first page of the New Project wizard as follows:
Choose the product that will contain the new project.
Enter a name for the new project.
Provide a description of the project.
If you will use the project to store a named branch and want all field revisions to include the branch name, enter the branch name in the Unique Branch Name field.
Choose whether to add the new project to your favorites list in the Serena Explorer.
Click Next and complete the Additional Details screen as follows:
Choose whether to create an empty project, or base the new project off of an existing project or baseline. If you choose to base it on a project or baseline, select the project or baseline.
If you want to require requests to be associated with all changes to files in the project, select the Valid request must be specified when delivering changes option.
Review your choices on the Summary screen, and click Finish to create the project.
