The New Request wizard can be invoked to create a request from scratch or to prime a request with information from an existing request. To start from scratch, in Serena Explorer right-click Inbox Requests or Draft Requests, and select New Request from the resulting menu. To prime a new request with information from an existing request, right-click a request in any open list tab, and select New from the resulting menu.

Select the project that the request affects. (This field is pre-populated with your default project.) |
Relate to parts |
Enter the design part specification(s) that the request affects, or click the browse button, select the desired parts from the resulting dialog box, and click the Save selections button. If this field is left blank, the root part for the product will be used. |
Relate to items |
Enter the item specification(s) that the request affects, or click the browse button, select the desired items from the resulting dialog box, and click the Save selections button. |
Relate as list |
To create a relationship between the request and the item(s), select one. |
Relate to requests |
Enter other request(s) that the new request affects, or click the browse button, select the desired requests from the resulting dialog box, and click the Save selections button. |
