Release trains follow this default workflow with Serena Release Manager. This can be tailored as needed to meet the needs of specific organizations.
Release trains include the following states:
Planning: Once the release train has been created, the release engineer plans the release train at a high level, including defining release intervals and creating specific releases that will be related to this release train.
Review: The release train content is reviewed with project stakeholders. When it is approved, it can be transitions to the next state.
In Progress: The release train is actively in use. This may span a great deal of time, depending how many releases are associated with it.
Completed: The release train is no longer active.
Release Failed: Deployment of a particular release failed.
