Adding a split attribute
Add a split attribute for a timephased attribute. If the timephased attribute already has data, this will cause that data to be replaced by the rolled-up data from any split attribute that is associated with the parent attribute.
- From the application toolbar, click Setup, and then select Customization.
- Select the Attributes Setup tab.
- Select the Split Attributes tab.
- Select an attribute.
- Click New.
- Name the split attribute. The system name will be generated after the split attribute is saved.
- Click Save.
Deleting a split attribute
You can delete a split attribute, but you should be sure they are not being used and that they do not contain data before you delete them. For example, deleting a split attribute which contains data that is being used in the Financials tab will permanently delete that data and it may affect the layout of the Financials tab itself.
- From the application toolbar, click Setup, and then select Customization.
- Select the Attributes Setup tab.
- Select the Split Attributes tab.
- Select an attribute.
- Under Splits, select an attribute split.
- Click Delete.
Viewing a split attribute
Split attributes can be viewed from the Split Attributes tab in the Attributes Setup tab.
- From the application toolbar, click Setup, and then select Customization.
- Select the Attributes Setup tab.
- Select the Split Attributes tab.
- Select the timephased attribute containing the attribute split you want to remove in the Attributes list.
- Select the split attribute whose details you want to view in the Splits list.
