Export the type system to use in a different database or to save a backup of your current configuration. If you are creating another database and you want to use configuration data from an existing database, you can export the type system and then import it into the new database. You can also use the type system to create a backup of your configuration settings. All of the data in the Customization module (with the exception of information about item request pages and workflow transition approval lists) is included as part of the type system.
To export a type system
- From the top-level navigation, open the Admin module.
- Select Customization.
- Select the Types Setup tab.
- In the application tool bar, click
Export Type System
.
- Save the file.
