Serena Release Control 6.0.1.1
Readme

This is a patch release that is installed on top of Release Control 6.0.1. There are no new features in this release. The purpose of this release is to support the latest versions of the Release Control plugins with Release Control 6.0.1.

To install the patch, do the following:

  1. Click here to go directly to the Release Control patches page.

    Note: To navigate to this page, from the Serena Support Downloads for Release Control, click the Patches button that appears just below the expander.

  2. Download the Release Control 6.0.1.1 patch package. It includes the patch archive, such as com.serena.rlc.ui-6.0.1.x-x.zip, where x-x is the patch and build number.
  3. Copy the patch archive to the C:\Program Files\Serena\SBM\Application Engine\payload directory. Do not extract the files.
  4. Restart IIS as follows:
    1. Open SBM Configurator.
    2. Click Apply. When you click Apply, the IIS and Tomcat services are stopped.
    3. Click Close. When you click Close, the stopped services are started.
  5. Access Serena Work Center using the following URL:

    http://serverName/workcenter

    Important: Launching Work Center immediately after clicking Apply and closing SBM Configurator is an important part of the upgrade process. This enables SBM Application Engine to import the new framework files.

  6. From the patch package you downloaded earlier, extract and run update.reg to update the registry with the patch number.

    Note: This does not update the version and build number in Microsoft Windows Installed Programs. This only updates the registry entry.
